Questions we are asked plainly.
Answered the way we would answer them in the studio, with a chair between us. If yours is not here, send it on WhatsApp and we will reply within one working day.
Can I see the sofa before it is made?
You will see a drawing with every dimension on it, and you will sit on the exact foam build in the studio before we cut fabric. You will not see your finished sofa until it is finished — nobody can. The drawing and the foam sample are what remove the risk.
What if I do not like it when it arrives?
Tell us within seven days. If it is a build fault, a dimension error on our side or a finish problem, we fix it at our cost. If it is the fabric you chose, we will re-cover it at the cost of the fabric and labour — we will not pretend that is free, but we will not charge you for a new frame.
Do you use plywood or particle board?
No particle board. Solid kiln-dried hardwood for the frame, and plywood only where a panel needs to be flat and stable, such as a seat deck. If a competitor's sofa is priced far below ours, this is usually the reason.
Can you match a fabric I already have?
Yes. Send a photograph and, if possible, a sample. If we cannot source it, we will tell you which of ours is closest and where it differs. We can also upholster in your own fabric if you have bought it — we will tell you honestly whether it is suitable for a sofa before we cut it.
How firm is the seat, really?
Come and sit. We keep three foam builds in the studio: soft, medium and firm. Most homes in Bengaluru choose medium. If you are buying for parents, choose firm and raise the seat height by an inch; it makes a bigger difference than any other single decision.
Will it get up my stairs?
That is what the route questions are for. Above 2.2 m we build in modules by default. Tell us the narrowest door and the lift depth, and the drawing will account for it.
What about a sofa-cum-bed?
We build them on a heavier frame with a tested mechanism, and we will show you the mechanism working before you buy. Be clear-eyed: a sofa-cum-bed is a compromise in both directions. If it will be a bed more than twice a month, buy a bed.
What warranty do you give?
The frame carries a ten-year warranty, foam three years, the sofa-cum-bed mechanism two years, and fabric and stitching one year, all written on the warranty card issued with your piece. The full table, and what is not covered, is on the warranty page.
Something still unanswered?
Send the question you would put to a carpenter standing in your room. We answer in a working day — including when the answer is that the piece you have in mind is wrong for the space.
